Show your continued support for Day for Thorpey with this iconic white towelling headband.

Day for Thorpey is a memorial event celebrating the life and legacy of Graham Thorpe MBE, the late England and Surrey County cricketer.  After the success of its inaugural event in 2025, it will be returning on day three of the second men’s Test Match between England v. New Zealand (19 June) at the Kia Oval, during the Crowe-Thorpe Trophy series.

Graham, who passed away aged 55, was one of Surrey and England’s finest players of the modern era. He also went on to become an accomplished coach both for Surrey, the ECB (English Cricket Board) and around the world.

Spectators, and cricket fans, are once again encouraged to purchase a white towelling headband for the day, referencing the iconic look that Graham would reveal when he’d remove his helmet to celebrate a century (a score of 100 or more runs in a single innings by a batter).

With the date of this year’s Day For Thorpey and a new logo design, these headbands are unique to the 2026 event, and will continue to help fund Thorpey’s Bat and Chat cricket programme. Thorpey’s Bat and Chat cricket programme is delivered by local Minds across England and Wales, giving people with mental health problems the chance to get active, build friendships, and develop vital self-care skills through the power of cricket. It will also help Mind to develop materials to help support the mental health of cricket coaches at all levels of the game.

Please note that delivery can take up to ten days.
